Photography Peru
I visited Peru in spring 2006, at the tail end of the rainy season, to interview some of the indigenous people of the Amazon, the Yine, and to discuss whether community-based tourism can help preserve their culture and the rainforest itself - in the Manu Biosphere Reserve, which boasts literally the world's highest animal biodiversity. I found it an incredibly diverse country with beautiful and friendly people. Here are some of my photos.
